Thank you, Hutchinson, for helping our Overton County office kickstart a mini food pantry! The local Hutchinson team provided more than 1,500 non-perishable items. From there, UCHRA’s Overton County team converted a room in their office into a pantry and, using items in the pantry, decided to do some meal planning, complete with recipes.
“This food also helps us fill the outside pantry so anyone can drive by and freely get food anytime,” said Renea Stover, Overton County Coordinator. “The pantry served 24 families in the month of March, including families with children, the elderly, and people with disabilities. This pantry is such a success in Overton County, and we are currently working to find a way to keep it filled up.”
