Mark Farley, UCDD-UCHRA Executive Director, has been named President of the Tennessee Association of Human Resource Agencies (TAHRA).
TAHRA is comprised of all nine human resource agencies and has been serving communities across Tennessee since 1974. Through a coordinated network of nine independent agencies, TAHRA delivers essential social services including financial support, job training, transportation, and nutrition programs to help Tennesseans become more self-sufficient.
At the heart of TAHRA’s effectiveness is its grassroots structure—each agency is governed by locally elected officials, ensuring strong community ties and accountability. Monthly meetings and collaborative sub-committees support shared best practices and strategic coordination.
TAHRA stands out for its strong partnerships with funders, legislators, local officials, and the communities it serves. The organization offers a cost-effective, transparent, and proven delivery system for a wide range of services, acting as a “one-stop shop” for those in need. With dedicated local staff, strong fiscal oversight, and a commitment to improving quality of life across Tennessee, TAHRA continues to be a trusted leader in delivering hope and support to its communities.
