Upper Cumberland Human Resource Agency has an opening for an Adult Community Corrections Case Officer (Smith County). The Adult Case Officer will be responsible to the Program Director for carrying out the assigned functions of the program related to client assessment, supervision, and referral.
Duties include:
- Prepare behavioral contract based on the assessment of need and per terms of sentence
- Supervise and monitor the activities of clients to ensure adherence to established goals
- Assist clients in receiving services from agencies having the capacity to provide such services
- Administer drug tests and prepare the specimen for testing, responsible for the chain of custody
- Conduct home visits as appropriate per the level of assigned clients
- File proper violations and prepare recommendations to be made upon court appearance
- Maintain required records and submit reports on time
- Other duties assigned by the Supervisor or Director
Qualifications:
- Possess excellent oral and written communication skills
- Detail-oriented and ability to multi-task
- Ability to evaluate situations and make appropriate decisions
- Ability to counsel clients in life-related areas
- Excellent computer skills
- Able to operate a motor vehicle and have a valid Tennessee driver’s license
The successful applicant will possess a bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university or have at least four (4) years of qualifying full-time professional experience as per TCA 40-28-604.
