The Upper Cumberland Human Resource Agency (UCHRA) has an opening for a Direct Care Worker Supervisor at the Agency’s Chance facility. The Direct Care Worker Supervisor has the responsibility of carrying out all the rules and regulations of the Group Home while on duty. The Direct Care Worker Supervisor maintains safety for all residents at all times.
Duties include:
- • Attends staffing with Psychologists and Case Managers to determine individual program plans and assess progress
• Acts as a mediator/facilitator between residents’ needs and facility administration
• Keeps updated progress notes
• Supervise the other residential counselors in carrying out policies and procedures and approving discipline procedures
• Helps in writing programs or behavior contracts to be used when individual treatment is required
• Teaches staff or residents new skills
• Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- • Good verbal and written communication skills
• Detail-oriented
• May be required to sit for prolonged periods of time
• Ability to multitask
• Availability for second shift hours and complete job duties within an office environment
The successful applicant will possess a bachelor’s degree in social work, psychology, education, or a related field, or a combination of education and equivalent experience; and a valid Tennessee driver’s license. Two years of experience working with troubled adolescents is preferred, and experience working with youth is helpful.
