CUMBERLAND COUNTY They’ve called the same location home for nearly 25 years. On May 3, UCHRA’s Cumberland County team will have a new office and a new address. Last month, UCHRA leadership inked a deal to rent two suites located at 1720 West Ave. in Crossville, Tenn.

The new location is approximately two miles, or about six minutes, south of the current location on Methodist Campground Loop and is easily accessible via Highway 70, Highway 70N, and Highway 127 and is less than four miles from Interstate 40.

“We have had a great relationship with the lessor of our current office,  the First United Methodist Church of Crossville, and are thankful for their many years of working with our agency,” said Mark Farley, UCHRA Executive Director. “We’ve experienced some growing pains in recent years and feel that this move will allow us to take care of some of those needs.”

The new location allows for better road-front visibility and additional parking. With a current fleet of 11 vans traveling more than 240,000 miles last year, the new location allows for the continued growth in ridership anticipated by UC Public Transit.

In 2019, UCHRA’s public transportation department launched the Go Upper Cumberland bus service within the Crossville city limits. Ridership has increased from 276 passengers during its first month of operation to more than 700 as of March 2021.

UCHRA’s Cumberland County office will occupy both suites 101 and 102. Jamie Edwards, is the County Coordinator for the Cumberland County office. In addition to Edwards, members of the Cumberland County team include representatives of the Court-Appointed Special Advocates program, UC Public Transit, and the agency’s Community Corrections team.

The Cumberland County location at Methodist Campground Loop will be closed from April 28 through April 30 to accommodate the move to the new facility. The Cumberland County UCHRA office will reopen Monday, May 3; operating out of the new location on West Avenue.

The phone number for the Cumberland County office – (931) 456-0691 – will remain the same. The office is open Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. until 4:30 p.m. and is closed on all state holidays.
