Jordan Herald, UCHRA’s Community Services Assistant Director, was recently elected to the Board of Directors for Homeless Advocacy for Rural Tennessee (HART) during the organization’s December Annual Meeting. Her election reflects UCHRA’s ongoing commitment to addressing homelessness across rural Tennessee.

The Annual Meeting, hosted by UCHRA, brought together partners from across the Upper Cumberland and surrounding areas to discuss warm shelters and collaborative solutions. Guests shared insights on local shelter efforts and highlighted the importance of seasonal and emergency housing options.

Shelter partners in attendance included: Church of God of Prophecy (Cumberland County), Praise Church (Harriman), The Community House (Fentress County), For His Glory (Smith County), Cookeville Community Cares, First United Methodist Church (Warren County), Live & Let Live (Smithville), WEMA Shelter (Wilson County), and Seeds of Hope (Sparta).

We’re proud of Jordan and all the organizations working together to provide safe, supportive housing for those in need.
