The Upper Cumberland Human Resource Agency (UCHRA) is teaming up with Tri Star Beverage, Putnam County Sheriff’s Office, and Cookeville Police Department to provide safe rides home this New Year’s Eve.

The UCHRA Public Transportation team will provide a free and safe ride home within Cookeville and up to five miles outside of the Cookeville city limits to those attending New Year’s Eve celebrations. From 9 p.m. Dec. 31 until 2:30 a.m. Jan. 1, New Year’s Eve revelers can call 833-UCTRIPS (833-828-7477) to arrange for a free safe ride home. This service does not include other stops or transportation to other parties.

“We are excited to partner with Tri Star Beverage and Sheriff Eddie Farris and the Putnam County Sheriff’s Office to provide this service to the residents of Cookeville/Putnam County,” said Holly Montooth, UCHRA Public Transportation Director. “We want to be a part of your New Year’s Eve celebrations and hope you’ll make plans to utilize this free service. So, go ahead and put 833-UCTRIPS (833-828-7477) in your phone.”
