Programs in Need

CASA – Court Appointed Special Advocate

CASA volunteers are judge-appointed to assist with determining the best possible outcome for abused, neglected, or exploited children on a case-by-case basis. Despite the state’s attempts to help, these children may become trapped in the court and child welfare maze spending their childhood moving from one temporary shelter to another. CASA becomes the voice of these children. CASA serves Cumberland, Overton, and Putnam County.

Van Buren County Head Start

The Head Start program is a system of early childhood development programs serving three to five year old children from lower income families in our community. Donations go toward supplies for the classroom as well as transportation, medical, dental, nutritional and mental health services for the children.

CAB of Warren County

The purpose of this advisory board is to safeguard and enhance the welfare of children and to preserve family life, by preventing harm and abuse to children and by strengthening the ability of families to parent their children effectively through a multi-level response system using available community-based public and private services. Preservation of the family should serve as the framework for services.

Group Homes

The CHANCE Residential Center for girls and Indian Mound Residential Center for boys provide safe, structured environments to teens that are wards of the State. Although State contracts provide basic shelter, clothing, and food, teens also need school fees paid, appropriate clothing, and education about wholesome forms of entertainment. Your donation will give teens these important extra benefits.

Transit

UCHRA Public Transit Services lift the spirits of all its riders, giving transportation to stores, doctors, and shopping in the city of Cookeville, the Upper Cumberland region, and the State of Tennessee.  If you would like to make a donation, or pay for a trip for a specific person or group of persons, visit  UCPublicTransit.com

Community Services

Our Homemaker Aide program helps people live independently by aiding in daily activities such as cleaning, hygiene, and meal prep.

Substance Abuse Solutions

SAS helps individuals gain back the life that substance abuse stole from them. Your donation helps to provide the resources these individuals need to be successful.
