During the Feb. 4 UCHRA Policy Council meeting, Community Intervention Director Melissa Hoisington provided an update on the Community Corrections Day Reporting Center (DRC) program.

The program, which launched three and a half years ago, has helped 33 individuals graduate and currently serves 54 participants working toward positive outcomes.

UCHRA operates Day Reporting Centers in Cookeville, Carthage, and McMinnville. The program provides transportation to reduce barriers and ensure participants can attend required meetings. Participants receive coordinated support and services designed to help them stay on track and maintain stability.

Community Corrections programs are also more cost-effective than incarceration, while supporting accountability and rehabilitation for participants.
