The Upper Cumberland Human Resource Agency (UCHRA) is currently accepting applications for a County Office Specialist to serve the Warren County office. The County Office Specialist will be responsible for performing public transportation scheduling, routing, and dispatching duties, operating communications equipment, responding to requests for service; providing information to passengers and the general public.

Duties Include:

  • Provide dispatching and routing services for public transportation to the general public
  • Create, maintain, and monitor daily manifests/schedules for dispatching and routing public transportation services
  • Provide clerical support including selling bus tickets and passes, collecting fares, maintaining accurate records on public transportation services, and quality customer service; responding to public inquiries and requests for services in a courteous manner.

Necessary Skills/Capabilities:

  • Knowledge of modern office procedures and equipment
  • Knowledge of streets, landmarks, and geography of the Upper Cumberland region
  • Ability to interact effectively with the public and co-workers when providing and/or receiving information.
  • Provide clear and concise communication

Applicants must have a high school diploma or equivalent and have experience working with the general public. Applicants must complete a background check, submit a negative pre-employment drug test, and is subject to random drug testing. This position requires various public transportation education classes to maintain and/or add new certifications during employment.
