The Upper Cumberland Human Resource Agency is accepting applications for a Case Officer to serve our Warren County office. The Community Corrections Case Officer will be directly responsible for carrying out the program’s assigned functions as those relate to client assessment, supervision, and referral.
Duties include:
- Prepare behavioral contracts based on the assessment of need and in accordance with the terms of the sentence
- Supervise and monitor the activities of clients for purpose of ensuring adherence to established goals
- Assist clients in receiving services from agencies having the capacity to provide such services
- Administer drug tests and prepare specimens for testing; responsible for the chain of custody
- File proper violations and prepare recommendations to be made upon court appearance as necessary for offenders not meeting contract criteria
- Conduct home visits as appropriate per the level of the assigned client
- Maintain required records and submits reports in a timely manner
- Complete training as necessary to facilitate curriculum
Qualifications:
- Possess excellent oral and written communication skills
- Detail-oriented and able to multitask
- Able to evaluate situations and make appropriate decisions
- Able to counsel clients in life-related areas
- Able to operate a motor vehicle and have a valid Tennessee driver’s license
The successful applicant will possess a bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university or have at least four (4) years of qualifying full-time professional experience as per TCA 40-28-604. Previous experience in law enforcement, the court system, or the legal field may be substituted.
